It has been some time since we have launched a major release of Tutor LMS. All the updates that we have provided so far have been mostly incremental improvements. Before you update to Tutor LMS 2.0, stop and take a backup of your site first! This is so that you have a safe backup of your site in case the update breaks your site.
Our team made sure that the transition to Tutor LMS 2.0 will be as smooth as possible for you. We even worked with our partners to make sure Tutor LMS 2.0 works with our existing integration plugins. But still, we recommend that you make a backup of your site. If you are wondering how to make a backup of your site, you can check our post regarding this. If any problem occurs, you will be safe as you can easily revert back.
We have also made a form specific to Tutor LMS 2.0 issue reporting, that you will be able to use to submit the problems that you find while using the latest build.

How to Update Your Site From Tutor 1.X to Tutor 2.X
If you’re stressing about how to update your site to Tutor LMS 2.0, here is the correct sequence to follow.
Step 1: Update Free Plugin
The first step is to update your Tutor LMS Free plugin to the latest 2.x version
Step 2: Update Pro Plugin
If you’re a Tutor LMS Pro user, update the Tutor LMS Pro plugin to the latest 2.x version.
Step 3: Update Elementor or Divi Module Plugin
If you’re using the Elementor or Divi Module plugin on your Tutor LMS site, update them to the latest version.
Step 4: Update Theme
If you are using a Child Theme where you have Overwritten many things for customization, then choose the Parent theme and update it.
Step 5: Update Theme Core Plugins
Make sure all your theme’s core plugins are up-to-date.
Step 6: Update Certificate Builder
If you’re using the Tutor LMS certificate builder to build and customize certificates for your eLearning courses, update the Certificate Builder to the latest version.
