We’re starting off the year 2023 with big news for Tutor LMS! Tutor LMS is announcing an integration with BunnyNet’s very own Bunny Stream, for seamless video streaming. You can now host all your course/lesson videos on BunnyNet for Tutor LMS for a lighter and faster user experience.
What is Bunny Stream
BunnyNet CDN offers bufferless high-speed streaming from anywhere in the world. This is accomplished by Bunny Stream, their premium streaming solution. Bunny stream uses a state-of-the-art CDN to store and deliver your videos whenever and wherever you need them. It offers robust security even offering hotlink protection and all of this in a very affordable package.
Another exciting news exclusively for Tutor LMS users. You can use TUTORBUNNY as a coupon code to get a $5 credit on your account and a 20% discount on Bunny Stream services forever!
Tutor LMS BunnyNet integration allows you to host your lesson videos on Tutor LMS using BunnNets’ very own Bunny Stream. Your students worldwide will face no trouble loading up and playing your meticulously crafted course videos. This enhances the experience for students and you can rest easy knowing your videos are being delivered as intended.
Pre-requisites for the Integration
For this integration, you will need to ensure a few plugins first. Of course, you would need to have Tutor LMS installed and activated.
The required plugins are:
- Tutor LMS v2.1.2 or later
- Tutor LMS BunnyNet Integration
You would also need a subscription to BunnyNet’s Bunny Stream in order to use this integration.
Setting Up
Step One: After installing and activating Tutor LMS & the Tutor LMS BunnyNet Integration plugin, navigate to Tutor LMS > Settings > Course. From there, scroll down to the preferred video source and find the BunnyNet option.
You need to toggle BunnyNet as your preferred video source.

Step Two: Then, log in to your BunnyNet account and open your video. This will bring you to the BunnyNet video setup. Here, you can set a thumbnail for your video, set a title, configure captions and so much more.

Step Three: Now you just need to copy the red-marked part from the Embed Code.

Finally, go back to Tutor LMS, and simply paste the URL/link into the Course Intro or Lesson video field. And there you have it, your video source will then be set to BunnyNet for you and your students to enjoy smooth streaming!
Wrapping Up
This integration was meant to make Tutor LMS more inclusive and accessible for our users. This is but one step to making Tutor LMS the best LMS out there. Let us know your experience with this integration in the comments below.

It would be wonderful if you could upload the videos directly from the frontend, without having to paste the URLs, that scares many beginners, greetings.

Thank you so much! That is something we have been thinking about. Hopefully, we will do something around it in the future.

I am adding the mentioned url in the iframe to the bunny net in a lesson, and it does not appear at all.
When I put it in the course intro, it shows up

I also more than agree with Brandon’s suggestion, I find it makes sense given that the plugin is also programmed as a Marketplace (multi instructors) , so I think these centralized filing systems for all instructors like banny-streaming is are great.
If you would then be able to create an additional centralized payment plugin as is for example stripe connect https://stripe.com/it/connect/marketplaces I think this plugin would make the real leap into the marketplace.
These are a couple of examples: https://www.wcvendors.com/product/wc-vendors-stripe-connect/

It’s good that there’s an integration with Bunny in the first week of 2023.
But I am not able to understand the usefulness of this integration compared with ’embedded video’ which I have been using till now.
Rayhan Arif
This is the first version of the plugin. We will make things much easier and more useful in the future. Please allow us some time.

This is great for in-house instructors with direct access to the bunny.net account of the site but it is not adequate for course marketplaces with instructors that do not have access to the backend or the sites bunny.net account. A frontend solution that streamlines the uploading process using bunny.net’s API would be great with Tutor’s frontend course builder!

This is great suggestion.

This is the first version of the integration. We do have something like this in the planning. Thank you so much for your suggestion.

Looking forward to it! Unfortunately I cannot use this feature in my project until then as it is a course marketplace and I do not teach any courses myself or allow backend access to instructors either. This kind of configuration is exactly why I chose TutorLMS in the first place!

I second you Brandon… this is the need of the hour.

This is what I’ve been looking for, Bummy Net API front-end access for instructors in the marketplace tutor LMS. Front-end instructors need a streamlined process to focus on making content and uploading. Looking forward to this integration!
