10 New Email Notifications for Better Communication
With this update, we’ve added some more email notifications to bridge the gap even further amongst the users of your website. We hope this will help create a more interactive experience with your LMS platform.
These emails can be customized the same way you could customize the old ones. Please refer to our documentation to learn how to customize these emails. Here’s a list of all the new email notifications you will have access to in the latest update.
For Withdrawal
- New withdrawal request – to admin(s)
- Withdrawal request rejected – to instructor
- Withdrawal request approved – to instructor
- Withdrawal request received – to instructor
For Instructor Registration
- Instructor application received – to instructor
- Instructor application accepted – to instructor
- Instructor application rejected – to instructor
For Content Drip
- New lesson published – to students
- New quiz published – to students
- New assignment published – to students
New Customization Options
In the previous update, we added filters to the course archive page that allowed users to filter courses by category, level, price, and tags. However, we realized that a lot of admins wanted this disabled, especially when it came to smaller websites with limited courses. Therefore, we’ve added a toggle to enable or disable these filters, and also an option to select which filters you want. To find this, head to Tutor LMS > Settings > Course.

Keep in mind that you have to set preferred course filters to make sure they work properly.
New Parameters in Course Shortcode
We have a shortcode feature which is helpful to show courses in a landing or sales page. As we have added archive filter option in the last update, we are adding controls to turn on or off in case you’re building a custom course archive. The new parameters are:
column_per_row='number'
course_filter='on/off'
If you do not override these values, the values will be taken from the settings of the corresponding shortcode. You can read more about the shortcode from our documentation.
Assignment Review Status
Teachers can now view evaluation status for assignments from the dashboard as well. We have added a new column to the dashboard that shows all assignment status.

Also, you can now disable sub-menus in the frontend dashboard using a newly added filter. To do so, please paste this piece of code to the functions.php file in your theme:
add_filter('tutor_dashboard/nav_items/settings/nav_items', function($nav) {<br>unset($nav['withdrawal']);<br>return $nav;<br>});
New Withdrawal Details Design
We have updated the withdrawal screen with a simpler approach. Now it is easier to get idea about the past and pending requests. This is not all of it. We have started revamping the entire Tutor LMS experience back in February this year. We will be releasing more User Experience improvements in the upcoming releases. So, we would request you to share your feedback with us and wait for us to finish working on them.

The instructor needs to click on the Withdraw Now button and he/she will be asked to enter an amount in a pop up box to submit the withdrawal request. The admin will receive a notification via email and take necessary steps.

Wrapping Up
This update brings a diverse list of improvements that a lot of our users have been asking for. Therefore, this should be a welcome update to all of them and help them create a more versatile eLearning platform. With new email notifications, you can boost connectivity between all the included parties, create a more involved user base, and convey important information effectively.
We hope this update gives you something to look forward to! If you have any feedback regarding this update or any other, please drop a comment and we’ll check it out. Have a great day!

Hi guys, I have made the update yesterday and it seems that there is an error now.
After the update, in the user front-end course interface, the lessons are not working properly.
When I go to the course only the first lesson is visible, and when I click on another lesson the URL changes, but nothing is changing on the screen.
This was working fine before the update. After I made the update yesterday this started happening.

Me sucede con cuenta admin desde 1.7.4.
Pero con cuenta student de momento bien.
Por ahora no parece problema grave.

Is there any new requirement needed with this update?
Sekander
Hello Tomera,
There is no new requirement with this new update. The issue you have mentioned might happen because of a plugin conflict or configuring content drip or prerequisites feature in a wrong way.
Please send an email to support. They will take a deeper look at your website configuration.

Do you guys have any plans to integrate Elementor for creating course pages?
kawshar
Yes, it’s already in the roadmap. Might come this month 🙂
Thanks

Your product is fantastic. The U.X. is significantly superior then other popular L.M.S. in the WordPress ecosystem. A great improvement would be the ability to add interactive content in the form of .Scorm files. It would also be wonderful if you created an off site storage system for video files with a native video editor. Adding such features would fill a great void in the WordPress L.M.S world and allow your product to compete in the larger L.M.S. market.

Glad to know that you found our products useful. We have so many plans for the future. Thanks for your suggestions and some of them already in our roadmap.
Thanks
